What does this covers?

Data recovery services for all hard drive under the following category;

Desktop HDD (3.5")
Laptop HDD (2.5")
Portable/External Drive (3.5" / 2.5")

Data Recovery Procedures;

1. Customer raise a Service Ticket.

2. Customer send/drop off their storage media at our office together with the printout of the Service Ticket email.

3. Data Recovery Lab will diagnose the storage media condition (1-2 working days).

4. Data Recovery Lab update and quote the customer for data recovery.
5. Customer decide if to proceed or not to proceed. Till this stage customer don't have to commit to any payment.

6-a. If the customer decide not to proceed and would like the storage media to be delivered back to them, return shipping charge applies. No charge for self collection at our office.
6-b. If customer decide to proceed, customer is required to make the payment prior commencement of data recovery activities.

Data Recovery charges will be based on the issues below;

1. Data Level Issues (Level 1)
Logical corruption of File System
• Corruption of boot sector, catalogue and file records
• Human errors – accidental deletion and formatting.
• OS/Application failures
• Malicious software
• Lost sectors
Expected Data Recovery duration: 1-2 days

2. Disk Level Issues (Level 2)
Read instability issues
• Degraded read/write heads or disk platters
• Occasional firmware exceptions
• Mechanical or electronic instabilities
• Bad Sectors failures
Expected Data Recovery duration: 3-5 days

3. Drive Level Issues (Level 3)
Complete Drive Failure
• Drive not responding
• Damaged read/write heads or disk platters
• Mechanical issues-Internal
• Electronic failures-PCB
• Critical firmware corruption
Expected Data Recovery duration: 1-2 weeks
*Charges for drive level issues are subjected to the severity of the HDD damage and the availability of the donor drive. Data recovery cost is estimated from RM1K to RM1.5K.

Kindly note that the duration required for data recovery increases as the capacity of the customer's HDD increases.
